Updating an update

So, this post is an update to update. I’m not going to say much because I’ve pretty much said almost everything. I just wanted to show the pictures that I took of the products in the store. And yes, I did straighten it up for the picture. It is my department after all! It should look nice.

On to the photos:

NOTE: Twilight may be the same price as Rainbow Dash. I did my best to arrange them correctly but as these guys are new to me – I may have gotten the prices wrong.

“We Worked Really Hard on That . . .”

So, Star Trek 1 and 2 are bad. Duh!!!!! They made a shit load of money but sucked balls! Like how many things? Anyway, it’s being blasted and poor Simon Pegg feels the need to defend it. I mean Scotty was really awesome, so everything is okay . . . And if you work really hard then it’s going to be good . . . Really? Because that’s totally true . . . I guess we should shut the fuck up now . . .

Simon Pegg Blasts Star Trek ‘Into Darkness’ Haters: ‘F**k You!’

EntertainmentWise – Thu, Aug 22, 2013 10:26 BST

Simon Pegg has blasted Star Trek fans who voted this summer’s ‘Into Darkness’ movie the worst of the series, with the actor saying that he would just say “f**k you” to anybody who has criticised the film.

The movie which opened in May has been criticised by fans, but Simon has hit out at claims that the latest flick may be the worst of the franchise.

Pegg tells The Huffington Post: “It’s asinine, you know? It’s ridiculous. And frustrating, as well, because a lot of hard work and love went into that movie, and all JJ wanted to do was make a film that people really enjoyed,” he said.

“So, to be subject to that level of sort of, like, crass f**king ire, I just say, ‘F**k you’.”

Simon compared the movie’s reaction to ‘Into Darkness’ to that of “when you tire of an indie band that you love because they get a number one single”.

“Star Trek Into Darkness is the most successful Star Trek movie ever made,” he said, “It is, in terms of what it took at the box office and how many people went to see it. More people saw that film than any iteration of Star Trek that existed before. That is probably slightly annoying to some Star Trek fans – which I totally understand.”

Meanwhile, despite the film’s negative comments, it was recently revealed that Star Trek 3 should be starting filming next year.

Speaking at the 2013 Galway Film Fleadh, Quinto who plays Spock in the new series of films, let slip that everyone is keen to start work on the next movie: “Star Trek 3 should be filming, I suppose, next year. It’s going to be made a lot quicker than the last one. That’s the plan, although nothing is confirmed yet,” BuzzHub reports.

The actor was then apparently asked if he knew whether Abrams would be returning, despite the director recently being announced as the man to helm the first in a new series of Star Wars films.

According to BuzzHub, Quinto did say that Abrams, who helped Into Darkness gross more than $440 million worldwide, was planning to direct Star Trek 3 but “did not elaborate.”

If Zachary is right and Star Trek 3 receives a 2014 shoot date, it looks doubtful JJ will be on board as it was announced last month that Star Wars: Episode VII will commence filming next year.

Dude, you’re taking the gentle Fuck You too far. You’re not supposed to tell the audience that!!!! That just plain insults them. Which will make them turn on you like a pack of dogs – you silly Pegg!!!

Well, that’s it for now! See you tomorrow!

Into Dumbness

So, I have blasted “Into Darkness” before and I will blast it again. It’s crap, it’s insulting to fans, and it’s NOT Star Trek. Oh! And they can shove it up their ass. That’s about it.

Or is it?

Cause my favorite Youtube channel has featured “Into Darkness”! Enjoy as they blast this crappy and unoriginal movie:

Bad movies don’t always mean bad box office

So, by now most of everyone has seen Star Trek 2 Into Darkness. I haven’t but I don’t intend to so I don’t care about it. Beyond to blast it. After all, it’s going to have the same problems I had with the original movie plus some new ones. Y’know since the same director was directing. So, I decided NOT to support Paramount making bad movies. Which most people seem to do.

intodarkness

“We have to support it – otherwise they’ll get rid of it!” Seriously, you think that? Star Trek is too much of a cash cow to ever fully kill and if we support crap like “Into Dumbness”, well then they keep making more of them. Do you really want Star Wars with a Star Trek wrapper? I don’t. I don’t like Star Wars that much . . . But if you do, then please keep supporting Paramount with these ventures!

Anyway . . .

So, “Into Dumbness” is being blasted for being bad. DUH!!!! After all, it was a bad recycling of “Wrath of Khan.” Now, I know that the movie was the box office success. It made them a heap of money (YAY!!!!). Which means yet another crappy Star Trek Movie featuring this cast. YAY!!!!! When it will come out or who will direct it is up in the air (since JJ Abrams has gotten his dream job of directing Star Wars). But it will come out. And it will most likely suck. Which is a shame because they can do so much better . . .

Star-Trek-Into-Dumbness-Parody

Here’s the irony: I like some of the cast. I like Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban who played Spock, Scotty, and Bones. They were enough like the originals to be believable while adding something new to the mix. I didn’t like the fact they all looked about the same age (despite originally not being the same age), but hey! It’s a new universe so who cares! They got their characters right (for the most part).

What’s worse is that after seeing the first Star Trek movie, I would cast them – again. Just not the others. Especially, Pine. He would be the first out the door. The others would have to fight for their old roles. They would have to prove to me that they could do it better than someone else. Which I doubt they could. But they would have the chance . . .

That’s more than I could say of Pine.

Of course, I am not the right person to direct this film. You need someone experienced with directing Hollywood movies to do it right. But you also need someone who has an interest in Star Trek and understands it. They don’t have to be a fan but they have to understand it. Sadly, JJ Abrams didn’t. He failed and his movies failed. Regardless of how the box office did. They weren’t Star Trek. They were absurd parodies of them. Not worthy of the name . . .

Stay tuned for more crap about “Into Dumbness . . .”

UPDATE: My Little Monster, Zecora

Last month I posted about My Little Monster, Zecora. A terrible idea if I ever did see one. But notice one thing was left out of that post? I didn’t mention the new official MLP dolls that Hasbro is making! Yup, I said official and they are. That and extremely creepy! Not quite as creepy as My Little Monster Zecora but creepy all the same.

And luckily for me, they have a permanent home in my department now – YAY!!!! I get to stare at them all the time. Lucky me.

Equestria Girls

Oh, BTW they are called Equestria Girls and they go to Celestia High. Nice going Hasbro, you made it really creepy.

I don’t know why exactly they made these dolls or why they creep me out so much. I mean I am a furry after all! And there is even other furry dolls out there this year. This new series called “Pinkie Cooper” is on our shelves this year. And I think they creep me out more than the Equestria Girls do.

Creepy "Furry" Doll

I don’t know why dolls with dog’s heads creeps me out so much but they do. It just looks so wrong! So human, yet not . . . *SHIVERS* Creepy!!!

ThedollbyherselfMaybe it’s because it looks like a fetish gone wrong. Or maybe it’s because it looks like some kind of dog creature ready to ensnare your children! Either way, I won’t buy either of these toys. But I will sell them . . . Does that make me a bad person?

f*ed up craigslist

This image was ripped from Craigslist months ago then forgotten. Apparently, this person’s disconnect with reality wasn’t important enough to post. Or possibly I wanted to do something more magical with it but failed to do so. Despite all this, it is STILL worth looking at and laughing at. After all, it’s totally like new!!! Enjoy.

Re-imaging a Classic

As you all already know: I love fan art. GOOD FAN ART! And I like to showcase it when it appears. So, today I plan to do exactly that. So, without further ado, allow me to present this re-imagined piece:

Lois1

Lois2

Source: Fuck Yeah! Lois Lane

Now you may notice that these pictures look a lot like something familiar. And that because it looks like this image:

Drawing of Glenda Farrell inspiration for Lois

Which BTW isn’t fan art. It is a sketch by Joe Shuster. Technically, it’s not Lois but Joanne Siegel the wife of his best friend and co-creator of Superman. She was his model for Lois Lane. So, I guess she kinda is Lois too. (Source)

Anyway, I like these new fan art versions of this sketch. It’s clear that these were re-drawn from scratch and changes were even made. For instance, her eyes are now open, there is a sense of lighting now, and everything is just much more clean. This image is clearly intended to be shown to the public. Unlike the original, which was just a reference sketch. Finally, there are two versions of this new drawing – one with color, one without. And while it is not amazing, it is nice to see. The artist tried to make something new and I like that. It’s not perfect, but it is nice improvement over the original. And for that alone, it will be joining permanent collection of fan art.

Lois1 Lois2

What do you think about these new drawings? Let me know in the comments below:
